Sue

Chief Officer: Sue Howard

Sue implements the work programme, policies and decisions of the Management Committee. She is responsible for the day to day running of the Volunteer Centre in Buxton and its projects.  Sue also promotes volunteering in Buxton and the High Peak in Derbyshire through the various committees and organisations that she is associated with.

Volunteer Co-ordinator: David Shaddick

Responsible for the recruitment of volunteers and matching of volunteers and provides information and support to volunteering organisations.

Carole

Home Support Co-ordinator: Carole Gregory

Carole, along with Jackie Redfern, manages Buxton Home Support Services. She is responsible for the support, management and training for our care staff, producing care plans, conducting reviews and carrying out risk assessments. Overall she ensures people in the community, who need care and assistance, get the best service they can.

Jackie

High Peak Development Worker and Home Support Co-ordinator: Jackie Redfern

Jackie is part of the high peak volunteering team.  She recruits and matches volunteers to opportunities and also provides information and support to volunteering organisations.
She co-manages the Buxton Home Support service with Carole. 

Howard

Transport Manager: Howard Gunn

Howard manages the Car scheme, recruiting and supporting the volunteer drivers. He promotes the market for the scheme, arranges training for drivers and is responsible for all our vehicle maintenance.

Rachael

Befriending Co-ordinator: Rachael Lowery.

Rachael co-ordinates the befriending service for the centre matching volunteers to elderly, isolated people in Buxton and Chapel who do not have a family. She also looks after the Hospital to Home project and assists with Accounts and Home Support.

Margaret

Accounts Co-ordinator: Margaret Wood

Margaret manages all our accounts ensuring all financial monitoring reports are complete for funding, and managing our day to day finances.

Children’s Service Co-ordinator: Michelle Markham

Michelle manages our children’s service for children with additional needs. She is responsible for the support, management and training of the children’s service workers. She produces care plans, carries out reviews and risk assessments and ensures the service we give to families is the service their child needs.

Alan

Co-ordinator of Readycall Service: Alan Challis

Alan manages and carries out work for the Readycall service He recruits, trains and supports staff and volunteers who go out and do do-it-yourself and gardening service within the High Peak.

 

Peter

Handy Van Fitter: Peter Child

Pete carries out all the safer homes work in the High Peak. He fits equipment and gives advice to help people to be safe and secure in their homes.

 

 

   

Development Worker - High Peak Volunteering: 
Claire Mitchell

Claire and Jackie Redfern, are the development workers for a new project in partnership with Volunteer Centre Buxton. They are working with organisations in High Peak and Hope Valley to make sure they have support around volunteering.  They also support the people who are interested in volunteering in the Hope Valley area. 

 

 

Administrative Co-ordinator: Louise Wraight

Lou support the High Peak Volunteering Project.  She supports the development workers and the central team.  She will deal with your enquiry and help you out with information. 

 

 

 

 

Health Trainer Co-ordinator: Ross Burnage

Ross coordinates a team of volunteers who work locally to promote healthy lifestyles and support individuals and groups to make health related changes.

Aiming High Children's Service Co-ordinator: Heather McKay

Heather coordinates a team of volunteers who befriend young people (ages 16+) with additional needs, enabling them to access mainstream activities - similar to their peers.

Transport Administrator: Lizzie Walton

Kirsty is the main link between the people we transport and the volunteer drivers. She books the drivers to take people to their appointments, and also supports the drivers with any problems they may have.

 

 

 

Business & Systems Manager: Alistair Rogerson

Alistair's remit is to improve the efficiency and sustainability of the Volunteer Centre through the introduction of efficient business systems.  Alistair also recruits and matches volunteers to opportunities and provides information and support to volunteering organisations.
