How to Volunteer
Volunteer opportunities come in all shapes and sizes, just like volunteers. You can do something for an hour a week at your local charity shop or you can volunteer for six months as an RSPB warden, and all kinds of other things in between.
To get a better idea of what you can do, visit the do-it national volunteer database web site, where all opportunities registered in your area and others can be accessed simply by entering a postcode.
There are lots of ways to get involved in your local community. Before you start looking, remember, VOLUNTARY WORK SHOULD FUN!......which means YOU, the volunteer, should get as much out of it as the people you are helping.
If you have any questions, or need guidance in any way, contact David Shaddick - the Volunteer Co-ordinator at the Centre - directly Tel: 01298 23970 or drop into the volunteer centre (we're on the market place, on Fountain Street across from the Methodist Church).
