Home Support
Buxton Home Support Service provides assistance with personal care and gives practical support to older and disabled people and people with learning difficulties in their own home.
Our service is registered with CSCI (Commission for Social Care Inspection). The Co-ordinators of the service are Carole Gregory and Jackie Redfern who have both gained their NVQ Level 4 in Care and Registered Managers Award.
All our workers are CRB checked prior to starting work, as well as having suitable reference checks. Before commencing work all staff complete Moving & Handling training and TOPPS Induction training. We also provide further training on various topics including First Aid, Risk Assessment, Adult Abuse and Food Hygiene.
Our service is funded by Social Services and the Primary Care Trust and in the majority of cases is free to the client for the initial 6 weeks. In order to access this free service, clients must be referred to us by either someone at Social Services e.g. Social Worker or someone from the Primary Care Trust e.g. GP or District Nurse. However, clients can refer themselves to us and pay privately.
